Ring used to be called Doorbot, and is a company delaing in home security systems. Amazon has recently stepped in to back it, and it is poised to grow significantly. The company provides motion-activated cameras, video doorbells, and doorbell systems that include the ability to open and close locks and doors on houses, garages, and other buildings – all remotely. Users can even talk to people at the door as if the home is occupied, even when there is no one there.

Installation ranges from integrated systems requiring extensive infrastructure modification, to Stick-Up Cams. Products come with a range of features, from floodlights to VOIP enablement, backup battery packs, night vision, motion detection, sirens, and more.
