What is a Carbon Monoxide Detector?

Carbon monoxide is a dangerous gas that sometimes builds up in modern, energy-efficient homes, but we cannot smell it or notice any difference to air quality until damage has already been done. Common appliances can cause a build-up of this gas, including dryers, ovens, fireplaces, furnaces, and other devices. For this reason, carbon monoxide detectors have become much more common.
